Thread: Do I need to have help from others to complete Dantooine Reb.Lev.2 Missions?

Hello, and thank you in advance for sticking out this message. I got through the initial missions with my starter Rebel ship based on Naboo. Now for the second run, as many of you know, I travel to Dantooine to see Brother Vrovel. I purchased a "better" ship (a Y-Wing), and I can barely destroy one ship before I'm blown away. It's frustrating because it's not like I can go to a cantina in Tyrena for missions - I have to do quite a bit of shuttling around every time I'm destroyed to re-receive the mission. (Sorry this is so long) Here's the thing - My Y-Wing is SLOW, the rolls and yaws seem to take twice as long as they did in my starter ship! Everything I fight now can easily evade me, but according to many shipwrights, this is the nature of the beast. If so, what have others done with level 1 equip. cert. with Y-Wings to complete these missions. Do I need to go into the missions with others? Thanks for sticking out this message, and I appreciate the help.

If you're on Dantooine now, you should be able to put Level 2 and Level 3 certified equipment in your ship. I'd look around on the Bazaar and Shipwright vendors for as much Level 3 stuff as you can find. Shields, armor, weapons, and capacitors are primarily what you'll be looking for. And don't worry about mass, the Y-Wing is a beast!

EDIT: Oh, find good engines too! And don't forget to put the throttle at 50% when turning, or it will turn very slow!

Thanks for the tip. So would this be possible even if I'm only rated 1,1,1,1?

Hang in there and grind xp for 2/1/1/1 so you can get the "Longprobe" Y-Wing. With that chassis, you can get 2 linked blasters and the missions will go alot smoother because you'll be dropping TIEs twice as fast. Just make sure you have a good Capacitor to handle to increased drain from linked blasters. Next, you're gonna want 2/2/1/1 for lvl 5 components. At 1/1/1/1, get the best lvl 3 components you can. Don't worry about speed. You're NOT gonna outrun TIEs in your Y-Wing. Be more concerned with engines with good Pitch and Yaw for manueverability. Like the previous poster said, drop speed to 50% for max turning speed once you're engaged. GL
