When flying by yourself in one of these ships, can you set your turrets facing forward, and use them? Can you set the turrets on "Computer-controlled mode"? Sorry, I've been gone for a LONG time, and i can't seem to find this info. Thanks!

No, you need a crew to effectively attack and defend in a MP ship.
