Just use the function keys (F1, F2, etc.) to use the commands, then you dont have to switch with Alt to perform IFF jamming, emergency shieldsor whatever.

Yeah, i agree. I see no reason that the toolbar should drop off when you are in mouselook mode. I have no problem with using the Function keys but i generally haven't had to use my abilities enough to know "did i put that option on F5 or F6?" Additionally, and semi-off topic. There NEEDS to be a pop-up option for players to choose if they want to co-pilot with their groupmates. Presently it is impossible for groupmates to launch from the same starport if they both use multipassenger ships. You are automatically shoved into the copilot seat. If you and your friend both have Y-wings good luck trying to group together. The hurdles you need to jump through just to get launched in your personal craft and then meet up are ridiculous. Add to the fact that apart from a fleeting feeling of "oh cool", there is no reason that you would choose to be copilots over the option to man your own craft.

you can get around the co-pilot problem, by keeping 64m away from the pilot who is trying to launch.

This way each person can launch their multiplayer ship without dragging the rest of the group with them.
