As the subject states, I have yet to get that command to work for me. Anyone else had any luck here?
There's a gap in my targetting ability which I haven't figured out yet. I'll have to go over the commands
one more time, but here's my dilemma:
Basically, I'll be plugging away at a ship under my reticle. Then I'll start getting attacked from behind by
another (or others!). I have a key to "Target nearest Enemy", but there's no guarantee that the nearest
enemy will be my attacker, or anyone planted on my 6.
I have a key to target NEXT enemy. But more often than not I'll just get a ship that's 2k away or more.
Nothing in my immediate combat arena.
Once I kill the target in front of me I usually just mash "Target Nearest" to move onto the next one. Or
I'll keep a mental note of the relative positions of the bad guys if I saw them zipping in front of me, so
I know where to turn. But I'd like to cycle through the next few nearest targets (or next few mission-
specific targets) to get a good idea of what my surroundings are like. Be kinda neat to have a targetting
range value to set. Say, ignore all target's outside of 1.5k. Then I can target next, next, next and not have
to put up with non-relevant ship clutter outside my immediate sphere of concern.
Anyone have some neat targetting strategies they use that could help make me more efficient at beating
you in PvP....errr... I mean... uh.. be better at PvE? ....ahem....
Thanks in advance,
K.

Doesn't work for me either. I mostly try to use it when I'm getting shot in the arse by an enemy while I'm trying to finish off an almost dead enemy in front of me (so when I have to fly straight for a little while). Really annoys me when I get shot from behind so Ihit 'R' to target the ship that's attacking me but it does absolutely nothing. Instead have to manually cycle through targets.
