Personal Log Entry:
I have just returned to Corellia from a very long, butvery profitable tour of duty in the Lok sector clearing out Imperial oppressors for a littleR & R and quiet time, only to have my com channels overwhelm by vendors hawking their goods and services. Medical personel offering buffs for huge prices, and all manner of unwanted automated droid messages,citizens emotes, and requests for or offers of training.
I'm all for free enterprise and making a profit, but the constant SPAMMING is a pain in the butt. To try and quell the ever increasing SPAMMING my ignore list has now grown to 130 entries and there looks to be no end in sight.

My question is what is the max number of entries my ignore can hold?Has anyone at SOE thought of adding a market channel in addition to the auction channel where shipwrights, medics, and merchants can SPAM until the womp rats come home andfree up the spatial channel?A training channel to handle just the requests for and offers to train others, as well as profession specific channels.
I played Earth & Beyond from the first days of beta to it's death, and that chat system had all these features.
As stated in my Personal Log my ignore list now has 130 entries, and I do not want to have to spend twenty minutes or more each time I login, land on a planet, or travel to a new city adding SPAMMERS to the list.

Dont think there is a limit, I knew someone who said she had well over 300 people on ignore.

As long as shout and yell exist unrestricted, there will be spam. No added channel will fix that. Bringing up E&B's market channel is pretty much pointless. E&B didn't have a problem with people sitting outside Net-7 spamming ads for anything and everything.. just WH requests.
You'd be better off asking for shout/yell to be either eliminated or put on a usage timer.. like no more than once every 60 seconds. Yes, I realize this isn't a perfect solution.. but there isn't going to be a perfect solution to this. Auction didn't work.. now it's just a channel that I'm sure most of us never even bother to look at, since we know it's just going to be filled with the same crap we get at Theed and Coronet.
