I don't know if this has been posted already (if it has I appologize in advance), but here is the steps to destroying the corvette. I have seen it done with as little as 5 people and as many as 20 so it all depends on how good you are or who you know that will count here.

1) Destroy fighter screen (usually 4-6 fighters)

2) **Optional Step** Destroy Gunboats starting with the one in the corvette's blind spot. I say this is optional because I have seen the corvette killed without the gunboats being destroyed, but destroying these does make it a little easier later. Once the gunboat in the blind spot is destroyed the other gunboat will take its position. The blind spot protects you a little from the corvette's fire.

3) Now we start on the corvette. Target its weapons first. By this I do not mean just cycle to the weapon you want to destroy and shoot anywhere on the ship, no you actually have to hit the turret. I usually take out the top and bottom turrets first since they tend to have the best possibility of fire on most attacking ships. After the top and bottom are destroyed I take out the side middle ones since they have the second best firing arc. Continue till you destroy all the turrets.

4) Destroy secondary shield...This is actually quite easy, but you have to find the "sweet spot." This once again is hitting the exact system, not targeting the subsystem and hitting anywhere on the ship. Watch your crosshairs as it usually shows you where to hit.

5) Destroy primary shields...Same as the secondary shields...find the system and destroy it.

6) Destroy the engines. The best way I have seen this done is to fly toward the rear and shoot directly at the engines. I have seen people shoot at it from the top and not do much, if any damage. Do this before attacking the reactor as it may jump into hyperspace if you do not do it quickly enough.

7) Destroy reactor...almost done. Once you do this the bridge subsystem appears

8) Destroy the bridge...Once again the best way I have seen this done is to go around the front and shoot at the window area. Within seconds the corvette will explode in a magnificent fireball.

9) Go back to your trainer and claim your prize.

I hope this help a few of you get through the corvette mission. Since there is no PvP in Kessel at this time it should not be 1/2 as difficult as when I did it with PvP enabled. Good luck and May the Force be with you!

I am rebel also...This little guide should work for all 3 corvette missions, but I have not seen the neutral mission so that is the only one I am unsure of. If someone has completed the neutral could please post any changes if there are any.

Ok so the smuggler master mission is the exact same as everyone else's. Destroy 30 craft and then destroy the corvette to get Master. Then this guide will apply to all 3 then.

was the guide written before the vette got the 1200m shooting range?

Already made master but this will be a great help to others.

Yes and No...I destroyed it while Kessel was PvP zone, but I have destroyed it 2 other times after the 1200m fix and it is still possible with this guide. The only change is the speed of your craft. I use a A-wing to kill the corvettes since it has a really high rate of speed, but it takes me several more passes to destroy it due to the lack of firepower.

I don't know if any of you remember the move that you had to use in XvT to escape a capital ships guns, but I tried it in JTL and it seems to work (although not as great as the XvT manuever did).
