And for that matter, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the most maneuvaribility out of my B-Wing? I don't expect it to handle like a Starfighter, but I've got PYR stats of 68 each and it's still a bus.

Run Engine Overload 3. If you are not already, will need to run reactor overload 3 first. That will make your 68 PYR handle like 88 PYR. Engine Overload 4 will give you another 10% boost, but this setup on a B-wing would be hard to do because of the huge reactor drain of EO4.
The overload program will make a big difference. Also try collecting parts for a 75 PYR level 8 engine. You'll need stats of around 71.5 PYR before RE to hit that number. Go for <25k mass as well. The Starmap reward is usually a good engine to throw into this too, or pick up a Hoar Chall reward engine from a Freelance pilot.

With a L10 engine with PYR stats in the 80's it'll handle like a fast bus
