There is absolutely no where on the internet or in the forums that I have found, that specifically explains death in space. What are the penalties for dieing without ejecting, and what are the penalties for dieing when ejecting? I would appreciate an explanation on these specifics.

Yeah good question.... usually when I die from exploding I get 100 wounds. When I "Eject" I get between 200 and 600 (no joke). So really.... what's the point?

You don't die in space. You eject, and the would and BF come from a long slow deorbit to the station in a largely unshielded escape pod. Your excess wound come from calling it dying, you have angered the Cosmic Powers That Be.

Just die once and try it?

Death from inside the ships is 100 wounds and battle fatigue.

Death if you eject might save some components, and gives you 200 (or is it 300?) wounds and fatigue.

Are you a pilot and not using Droid Commands?

Basically your ship and it's components get destroyed and you have to pay to repair them.

They loose a percentage of thier max condition when this happens (decay).

You get socked with wounds and battle fatigue equivalent to about 10 deaths on the ground.

Your mission, were you on one, usually fails.

And the difference between ejecting and dieing is?

FYI I never eject! Flew 7 missions while retraining pilot with the eject button lit up, when I checked later only the chaff launcher was disabled !

WHen you explode you have to repair everything.

When you eject you get 15 deaths worth of wounds, but your components stay at the same level of repair as when you ejected so there's less to repair, less decay.

Personally if I'm staring at that eject button it just means I'm not dead yet.

Exactly, I have never hit eject in my life EVER!

That medal I now wear was given to me for taking a serious amount of battle damage and carrying on with my mission and completing all my objectives in the face of all adversity!

Thats what being an ace pilot is about, its not strapping on a JSF and pwning, its doing the best on your mission in what you have flying and limping home to fly another day!

LONG LIVE THE REBELLION!
