ok as an Imp Pilot, i have done a lot of missions where there were frieghters heading to the Endor System, and the Emperor did not want to lose a single one, for they were for a top secret mission, and other missions about the scientist that created the power cells for the first deathstars main weapon, running a secret operation in the Endor System as well, well since we all know that the 2nd deathstar was in the Endor system, since we have all these missions that lead to the 2nd Deathstar, are we ever going to have the 2nd Deathstr in the Endor system? With the Up-coming Capital Ships, i think this would be a great addition.

To all you Imperial Pilots, wouldnt you like to be able to dock onto the Deathstar and be able to walk around, man stations, and different things (or course it would be NPC driving, players would only be able to man guns)

To all you Rebel Pilots, wouldnt you like to try and lead an assualt on the 2nd Deathstar?

Make this an future evernt of some sort, any suggestions welcome, I just personally would love to fly to the Endor system and see it there in orbit, with it half constructed, like in the movies

We've got a 16x16x16km cube of space. DSII is a minimum 800km in diameter. It won't fit. If they add it, it will be just like a planet. A screenshot on the side of endor and a station or ISD allowing you to land on it.

works for me, at least we would see it and be able to interact with it

Long page which looks at all the evidence about both Death Stars size

Summary

The presently-available evidence indicates that the diameter of the first Death Star is in the range 160 - 165km, although the purely canonical evidence cannot strictly rule out a smaller figure close to the commonly published 120km value. The diameter of the Death Star II is in the range 800km - 960km. Thus the roleplaying game estimate for the size of the first Death Star is not far from the truth but the second battle station has been grossly underestimated. The last published size of the Death Star II, 900km, is acceptibly realistic.

We can only hope the devs triple the size of space by the time the Battle of Endor comes around...

-
FarStar: Romuski Til, Rebel Pilot/Commando.
Bria: Akrady Renko, Imperial Stormtrooper Officer

[[Our training hones us.
Our numbers shall swell.
The galaxy shall fear us Stormtroopers once more]]
Stormtrooper Gamma Company Wicki

the dev's did mention that they would be increasing the size of space at FF. how much is the question

i'd love to see the basic frame of the DS2 being constructed, it was actually already being constructed even when the first death star was still operational.

all they'd have to do is make it like a 2nd planet with zones and levels.

there could be missions like a slave revolt occurs on one level and your sent to remain order on the station.

and rebels could have the Mon Calamari Capital Ships to walk around and get missions in. That way it's fair for everyone.

Personally though, I dont think they should have ever put in Endor in this game, specially when you see so many Rebels going through it.

But oh well, continuity is thrown out the door anyway.

This is a good idea. To do it you would have to close off the entire Endor Sector to all but Imperials. This would be good cause say a rebel or neutral pilot just casually fly in the sector they would be destroyed (rebel) or searched and possibly seized/ destroyed (neutral). Thus keeping the Death Star a secret.

Dourne Cloudstryder

Elder Smuggler / Elder Pistoleer / Elder Marksman
Master CorSec Pilot

Alloworall - Master Medic
Meraf - Master Spy
Chalosatuk - Master Shipwright

heck if you think about it, most imp stuff is already in Endor, got the Emerial Claw Station there, that gives us access to Deep Space and kessel

If they add the under construction DS (and I think they should), it would be nice to also load up the Imp presence in this sector. Any rebel aligned pilot should be jumped by an TIE patrol as soon as they enter the system, meaning it should be instant death for tiers 1-3 and a challenge for tiers 4 and 5. This means updating some of the space missions, which currently sends rebels to Endor to check out rumors of Imp activity, but a cool addition to the game.

Even if you only see the DS frame as part of the planetary background. It would be cool way to indicate where in the timeline the game is (how far along the contruction is).

Eventually, I'd like to see the RotJ attack on the DS a regular event in a special PvP zone, with plenty of NPC back up for both sides. Before you say, "The DS can only be destroyed (or saved) once", how many times has Darth Vadar given his one star fighter away in the last month and a half.

It's a game first and a SW timeline second.

Other additions to the space game should be:

  • Alderan graveyard - Some one mentioned this in another thread. Basically an area full of floating debris.

  • Death Star scrap yard - If they do expand space, why not add a section of concentrated floating debris from the original Death Star?

  • Occassional Star Destroyer spawns in Imp controled space - We see them from the ground on Tattoine and Naboo (and others), why not in space too? Just have them occassionally pass through the system. At the very least, add them to the background images as they orbit the planets.

Odd this link says its 160km in diameter.

Can't argue with that link
