Why won't my secondary projectile weapon work on my standard Y-Wing? What do I have to do to get it to fire linked with my other ones?

As the pilot you can't. The 2nd slot is a turrent for a 2nd player to use. Y-Wings are 2-seat ships. Only way to fire the 2nd laser is to have another player grouped on the ship with you to fire it.

Mesca Phost - Scylla - Rifleman/Ranger/Pilot
Crem Darkstrider - Wanderhome - Smuggler/TK/Brawler/Pilot
Mesca' Phost - Bria - Grand Master Entertainer
(Master Ent/Music/Dance/ID)

Cancelled 7/27/05 - I joined to play Star Wars, not Jedi-BH Wars. You've ignored/gutted/abused just about every other profession in the game, while spending most of your time working on Jedi and BH as they related to Jedi. You've basically killed the game for anyone who doesn't want the glowstick. Congratulations.

As mentioned, the Y-Wing is a 2 person craft. You need a second person to be the gunner if you want to use that weapon.

However, the reason I'm making this post is to also throw in that the longprobe version of the Y-Wing is a single person craft. When you get that one, you will be firing both weapons yourself.

^^^ Wrong.

You can set your second wepon to fire by pressing the G key in flight. Then you set your weapons to buttons 1, 2, 3, and 4.

For example, on my Y-wing, I set Myfront gun (lasers) to fire by pressing 1. I set my Ion cannons (top guns) to fire when I pressed 2. And I set it so both of them fired when I pressed 3.

You can also set missle firing configurations this way.

G key.

Are you sure you don't have the longprobe version of the y-wing, Duate? That one allows you to fire all the weapons.

In the beta, you could only fire the second weapon in the 'normal' y-wing with a second person in the gunner seat.

Oh, you're probably right. By the time I found out about the G key menu, I was fairly far along, so I might have been in the long probe.

Solution: If you have a normal Y-wing, invite a random person into a group at the starport, and then launch into space without telling them; effectively kidnapping them into your gunner's seat!! (funny but true)

I'm aware of the G key. However, it's not "wrong".

If I set up the groups as you claim to, it will not work. If I have button 1 fire one projectile weapon and button 2 fire the second projectile weapon, all that happens when I press the various triggers is that I get a message every time the weapon cycles that it's switching to the next group.

I set up all my projectile weapons to fire in a group and I don't get that problem.

However, no matter how many times I've used the almighty G key on a standard Y-Wing, the turret gun simply will not fire unless I have a gunner.

Have a nice day.

I admitted my mistake already. Stand down.

I meant for the Longprobe. See above post that you ignored.

Sorry. You didn't edit your response to me, so when I saw that, I started a reply. I hadn't seen all the other posts on there yet.
