I've restarted/failed the first imp mission in kaadara about 5 times tonite.
Once I get to the patrol point and the 2 rebel xwings start attacking....I somehow cant manage to damage them at all.
Rarely will i get the shields beloew 75% and then they start to regenerate. Alot of times his wingman will just destroy me as i'm trying to kill his friend hopelessly.
There is no warping of the enemies...just the fact that i cant damage them....they will kill me first in all cases.
My ping is 500-700 with no Loss....my FPS hovers between 25-30 fps. What am i doing wrong?

It may have been the time you were playing. Last night this happened to me one time out in space. There was some SEVERE server lag. I was fighting 3 Tie fighters and I had all but destroyed one. It's engines failed and it stopped. I circled around it and could not kill it. I stopped my engine, blasted it for 2 or 3 minutes directly. The chassis simply would not take more damage. I wrote a bug report and then just for kicks decided to fire it a couple more times before going to the starport. After 4 or 5 shots it blew up and the other two ships were all the sudden after me again(they seemed to have gotten lost when the first ship stalled). I fought the last 2 ships for a good five minutes too. It took many, many hits for damage to register. Tonight however, BLAM BLAM, destroyed many tier one tie fighters in one pass over a few seconds, almost none of the lag problems I saw the night before.

I can't even damage the damn things. I would be happy to see 75%

Didi you shoot at it directly from behind?
If not, in Beta there was a bug that would make NPC nearly invulnerable at its top/buttom

They had fixed the top/bottom invunrability late on though. Least I never re-submitted it as a bug on the last couple of days at least.
But yes do watch the top/bottoms of the ships. There may still be lurking issues. If you are certain that it is this then \bug it.
I also recommend that people keep open their network status windows, as packet loss will cause shots to not impact on a ship even though they seem to hit. Unfortuantly in this case is neither SOEs or your fault. I suspect that this is not the problem though.
Anyway happy flying, see you out there at some point.

This might explain why some fights took longer than others. I didn't seem to see many problems yesterday though. I took on many flights of tier one fighters and rarely even lost all of my shields at any one dogfight. It could have just been bad lag when you were trying at that time.

Thanks, I'll try that.
I have roughly the same ping as the thread creator, and for the most part, I am experiencing no packet loss whatsoever. Although, every now and then,my targetwill brefiely jump/warp 1 or 2m up or down, but I can easily compesate for that.
I /bugged it already, though not in that context. If it happens again, I will /bug it and explain it that way.
