Hey bro dont cry as long as you have been playing for over 6 months and buy jump to lightspeed (looks like you have) you will get your yacht
all you have to do is wait till your copy arrives then toss in the registration code it asks for at the main menu and to really answer your question you wont be able to get your rward till jtl is installed so as long as you got it coming and have played more then 6 months you alll good!!!!

The Yacht isnt that great to be honest it looks and handles as it is intended as a "house in space"
I played with it in beta .... and after 5 mins you will shrug and either try deleting it or deed the ship never to be used again.
Talking of Salt. nice to see that the yanks not only get the game early but the privelage of pre-ordering
gets them a "fancy speeder" now they DO look nice.
I recall that the yacht was going to be a 360 day reward... its now 180...
What do the vetrans who have put up with this crap for a whole year get now ? nothing ?
C'mon SOE /Activision / Lucasarts or who ever.... truly reward the people who have stuck with you guys through
the sea of crap for 12 months or more...... or as i suspect we will get the usual sony reward of a smack in the face...
a kick in the soft regions and a " thank you for your patience " as they slipanother "20" out of my wallet
Boycot JTL in europe. ( its crap anyway )

Actually, the yacht had been announced as a six month (180 day) veteran reward for as far back as I can remember (which was last June). Also, the only way people in the US could get a flash speeder is if they preordered using this country's retailers, which does not include the publisher Lucasarts, nor the developer SOE. Activision? Are they the ones distributing the game in Europe (I didn't know that
)?
Anyway, my post isn't meant to detract from your opinion of JTL

Thank you Keron. Appreciate the input.
Being a bit of a sceptic ( who would'nt be after 12 months heh ) when JTL was announced I half jokingly said to some freinds
that it will be just like "X-Wing vs TIE" of years long gone.......
I got invited to the beta and installed the files needed and after a couple of hours, to my horror that is exactly what i saw,
Yeah sure it looks pretty and oooh the ships look cool but the gameplay is as naff as that old game.
To those of you reading this thread and detect a little poison in my words then ... yes you could be right...
Lots of issues are still outstanding and cannot belive that they have pushed forward with this release.
And now the euro release is pushed back to at least Nov 5th because "Activision" has deemed that Grand Theft Auto III and JTL
cannot be released on the same date as they think one will interfere with sales of the other "utter tosh". ( thats the current story on the roumor mill )
and would fit in with the management profile for the company.
Yes I am old enough to still associate the name " Activition " with the words " PitFall ". Me thinks that some marketing guru in Activision's
halowe'd halls should be bound and gagged then suspended over such pit then prodded with sticks till he learns the error of his ways.
Bitter??? Me?? Noooooooo

Activision, I thought they went bankrupt... oh no that was Acclaim. Oh well, going in Alphabetical order I presume? Capcom should be next I hope.

If you didn't like the beta then why would you complain about the release?

Why complain ?
well in all honestly the same reason lots of people still play the main land based game.
They choose to ignore the "frayed ends" of coding and the other issues that we see mentioned in these forums
time after time. But my main reason is that half of my guild are in the US... the other half are in UK / Europe.
I had worked very hard with other US based members ( im uk ) to stockpile materials and ready my toon
(dropping skills) in preperation for Shipwright and now find that I have to run around kicking things while i see
in guildchat my US members haveing a whale of a time kicking imperial butt.
Ihave even looked up at the skies of Talus a few times half expecting to see little flashes and dots crossing the sky
in combat.
It is my and every paying member of the SWG community's job to pull up SOE / lucasarts every time they fumble.
Changing worldwide release dates 2 days before release is a fumble. Especialy without an appology to its userbase.

Its worse than you think TRAV. Activision UK LTD are possibly pushing back the release until the 12th, and when I phoned their HQ they said there was a possibility it would slip as far as the 19th....

If they do push it back to the 12th then I would think it might slip even futher back. SOE's other and there more important (to them) game Everquest 2release's in Europe on the 12th and i can't see both being released on the same day
