I have problem, I have Hori Flight Stick
www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3134911&did=3
that came bundled with Ace Combat 5 for the PS2. The stick has a USB connection so you can use it on the PC. You just need to download the drivers, which I have done. I installed everything I needed to and set it up in "add new hardware". My computer recognizes the stick and inputs when I test it.
My problem is that SWG, in the game options menu, will not recognize the controller. The "enable joystick" is not even selectable unless I put in another brand joystick like my
Saitek ST90.

Does anyone have a HOTAS controller like the
Saitek X45

or any other ones similar to the Hori and Saitek controllers and it does not work either?
Help?

Hmmmm.. I have the Thrustmaster Cougar, and it works fine. SWG will not recognize a new controller if you plug it in while the game is running. I'd also trying plugging the controller in, rebooting, and then starting SWG. Finally, try rebinding the axis on the controller in the keymap section - it's possible pitch and yaw are mapped to the wrong axis. Bottom line though, as long as XP recognizes the stick, SWG should.

I can't rebind anything with it.
The game won't even recognize the controller before I enter the game. I can reboot my comp till it gains sentience and yells at me but it won't make a difference. In the "game options" menu on the Launch Pad, it won't even let select "joystick enable". It's just grayed out.
It could be the drivers but that doesn't make sense since the controller works with other games that are flight sims.

There are LOTS of people with the x45, and have never had problems with it. That's the one I'm getting too.
