Thread: Petition: Make the Emperor's Retreat shuttleport travelable

OK, one of these petitions might have already been created, but I couldn't find one. If one is already in existence, could someone give me the link?

Here's the issue: Imperial Inquisition pilots and RSF pilots can land at the Emperor's Retreat from space. The problem is that we cannot access it via the travel menu. So, if we want to go to the retreat and we're on the ground, we have to launch into space, get to the station and then land from there. I don't think it should be this hard. Just add in the retreat as an option on the map to travel to for those who have unlocked it.

1) The devs don't pay any attention to petitions

2) Been this way since the begining of the game

3) The Emperor will not appreciate his retreat being a tourist attraction and give the rebels a chance to pop in and say hi with guns ablazing.

4) Just be happy your not a rebel who has to go to dantooine to visit a trainer, rebel theme park, the POI badge or all three. That is a 7k trip untill you can finish the landing mission also.

5) Originally, you couldn't even land on the retreat in JTL. It was added in along with rebels being able to land on the abandoned rebel base on Dantooine.

6) Your reason is not a very strong reason at all. If you want game changes, you have to have a very convincing, appealing and strongly supported idea, and never make is a pettion. What a waste of forum space.

Umm all he is asking is for people that have unlocked it the normal way to be able to travel there from the ground instead of having to launch into space then land. It does'nt really matter to me as I have finished all the quests but yeah it was a little annoying to need to launch each time. I can also imagine it was very frustrating to people before you could land at the Retreat cause that would be alot of driving back an forth.

If anything I wouldn't mind seeing ALL imp pilots being able to land there. Not sure I'd want it to be a shuttleport. It doesn't take you much longer to launch and land than it would to shuttle anyway. at most you're cutting off 20 seconds by making the retreat a shuttleport. And while the reatreat is very cool, once you finish the theme park and the inqusition pilot missions, the only other reason to go there is to get the imp vette mission.

All Imp pilotsshould have access to the retreat. Why Storm Squadron and Black Epsilon are excluded yet RSF are allowed is kinda odd.

This is true, plus for odd hermits like me who live there, it serves as a nice shuttleport next to the house. However, if they put it in as a landing zone, it serves to reason it should be accessable on ground, right? You see, while it doesn't take that much longer to launch and land, that only holds true if you're already on Naboo. Nine times out of ten, I am not and I'm willing to wager a lot of other people aren't when they try and get back to the retreat either. Hence, you either have to launch, hyper to Naboo, fly 3k to get within comm range of the station and land or travel to Naboo, launch, land. Either way, it would be much simpler if you reduced it down to one simple, easy, fast step. And yes, the retreat should be open to all pilots.

I agree. If you can land there, you should be able to travel instantaneously with your ship, just like any other starport.

1. I fail to see what harm a petition would do, as it has worked in other cases.

2. I have been here since the beginning of the game. I am well aware of when this was put in and in what form. My house is 400m from the retreat and I remember well the days where I had to walk 3kfrom Moenia to get there. They decided to add in the new landing area, I believe that they should finish what they started and make it completely accessible from land or space.

3. This addition would really change nothing with rebels landing at the retreat. If you actually READ my suggestion, I advocate making the retreat travelable ONLY FOR THOSE WHO ALREADY HAVE IT UNLOCKED. Hence, rebels (aside from those rare few who decided to be RSF pilots) still will be a long way from the retreat. With regards to the RSF pilots, they can already fly to the retreat, so it really doesn't change very much for them.

4. This has absolutely no relevence to this thread whatsoever. I can say "Be thankful that you haven't tried the Dathomir prison quests, they're 7k from the Science Outpost," but a) For all I know you already have and b) Even if you haven't, what's your point?

5. See point 2.

6. My reason is simple. I am not asking for a major overhaul, just a minor addition that would likely take up at most an hour of some programmers time to add in.
