I'm pretty close to getting my first tier 4 bubble - should I go for the Rhixyk (or however you spell it), keep the Dunelizard or go for one of the other ships?
Opinions?

DuneLizard. It is the only ship you can slam everything into that handles as well as it's Firepower.

Go for the Rihkxyrk, dude. The ship is a bit slower on the turning, but you can compensate with a /throttle macro.
The Rihk has insane mass, compared to your Dunelizard and it has 3 gunports. Get yourself a good capacitor (over 1000 energy capacity and 40 recharge rate) and mount 3 guns (Get Crafted. Optimize for lower energy/shot before damage. I got 18.4's that do about 2.5k; also, vary the types. Get a disruptor, an ion cannon and a blaster. That way, you can use the 1,2,3 keys to select the kind of damage you want and save capacitor energy.). Your Rihk becomes a flying Cannon, it's insane.
But it's all about low-energy blasters and high-power capacitors. Doesn't matter if your gun does 3k damage if you can't fire it from lack of power.

Looking for low EPS weapons may be a thing of the past, depending on how efficient Capacitor Overload is.

I am a Master Pilot and I have mothballed the Rihkxyrk in favor of the Dunelizard. It may have less mass but the speed and agility more than make up for it. Go for the components box so you drop some nice guns and shields in your ride and have fun. I have found that the Dunelizard is the equal of an A-Wing with more mass. My datapad contains a YT-1300, a Firespray and a Dunelizard and the Dunelizard definately get the most flight time of them all.
As someone that has tried them all....I would suggest that you stay with the Dunelizard....They Rock!!

I'm 3/3/3/3 myself, and find my Ixyien to be an excellent ship. It has 96K Mass, so I can fit plenty into it, after having stuff RE'd by my guild SW, and it handles better, in my experience, than the Dune I was flying. The extra Mass compared to the Dune is equally nice, allowing me to put in much better stuff than my Dune could hold, even with RE.

I love the Dunelizard too, but can't seem to figure out how to equip it for high level game. 108 speed engine? With what mass?? I'd love to see some example loadouts from those that are using a lizzy over a redeeded Rihk.
Personally, I fly the Rihk and with 102 speed engine and engine overload3 do a cruising speed of 1100+. I also have three projectiles that I can pretty much fire non-stop with a nice cap regen and weapon overload 3. With 191 mass I still have room for most of the other items, tho it fills up quick using master level components.

108 speed engine has 24k mass. It's a level 8. Here's a pic:
And here's the one in my YT:

I've been using both and go with whichever best suits what I am planning to do and who I plan to do it with. Personally, I prefer the additional defensive and offensive abilities of the Rihk over the fast but weaker (both in weapon power and in defenses) Dune, but that has more to do with my playstyle more than it does the abilities of the ships.
I would definitely keep both until you find something you like - I liked them both enough to keep (and I don't even have the newer Dune with the extra mass allowances).
