Wheres the best place to destroy the 30 reb ships in kessel?
In fact, can u just get a group and take down a vette insted?

Nope, you have to do the 30 kills first. The fastest way is to get a group and split up. Then every kill each member makes counts toward your 30.
You won't get the vette mission until after you get your 30 and talk to the guy that gave you the mission.

Taking down a vette only counts as 1 of the 30. There is no good place to hunt them they are all over the place. You have to cycle through the space objects to find them. Last time I did that kill 30 in kessle the ships I was hunting for didnt show up when cycleing through enemy targets nor would they pop up in target closest enemy.

Just track them down. If you see your own Vette or your own Capital ship, hang around it as they tend to generate random spawns. And yes, the Vette usually has an escort of several standard and capital ships that count toward your 30.
Get a group and go kill. Head toward nebulas and into the asteroid fields.
