I've got a little problem ... I've recently looted some lv 8 blasters, two of which have some real nice stats.


They're way to heavy to load in my Advanced, so I drop one in my Agressor and head off to orbit to try it out.


...I fire ... pteew..pteew..pteew ..... but nothing happens.


I get the sound effect, no capacitor drain, no graphics.


So I zoom out thinking maybe it's visable from a different angle.


pteew..pteew..pteew ..... what the hell?


When I load a "Taim & Bak Ht-(some number) Heavy Laser Cannon" on my Agressor as my primary weapon,

it fires out the rear turret. There's no one in the rear turret, and it fires using the primary pilot weapon trigger.

It just fires backwards out the turret.


If I unload the turret weapon and launch with only the single primary gun loaded, it fires from the center of the cockpit.

Blinding me in the process, and firing as a single bolt instead of firing from the under-wing mounts.


I havn't found anyone to help me try it out yet, so I don't know what happens if I load a turret weapon and have someone man the turret.


Anyone else have this prob? .. is it just level 8 weapons, or just Taim & Bak?

Actually I have it all the time on my aggressor. Some weapons just wont' work in conjunction with each other on that ship. For example, i had 2 Armek SW8-A level 8 weapons on it, and whenI launched, Only I could fire, the gunner couldn't.(By the way for all of thesetests i was using reactor overload 4, so Its not an energy problem.)So... I switched out the rear gun with a level 7 Hoersch Keseel Scorcher 3, and the gunner could fire, but my shots were going out the rear... And in reality they aren't firing at all, because when I was firing i wasn't using the capacitator energy Nor could the gunner or anyone else in the area see the shots I was seeing on my screen. Now, i Put the Hoersch Kessel on the front of my aggressor, and then used a Crafted Advanced Blaster on the rear, And both worked fine. I haven't a clue, but it is a nuisance to be forced to keep landing and switching out weapons just to be able to fire.

About the looted weapons not firing, it has happen to me also. I looted 2 on the same round and although their stats were decent they didn't shoot anything at all.

Its the new loot they promised, go figure!

Yeah, I used to have the same problem with some looted weapons on the Aggressor, butthey worked fine on my other ships. It must be some kind of bug.
