First, will they open up more cities on the next patch?

Second, do the citizens need to vote each week or will it automatically vote for the Mayor they voted for the previous week?

As for new cities i heard at least another 2 weeks, but I could be wrong. this is just what I heard, not offical.

As for voting all registered citizens will autovote for the incumbent mayor, unless they go to city hall and vote for the opponent.

Well I have a question about the veteran ship thing that hopefully someone can answer. Ive been playing this game for a really long time.I think a few weeks after release when a friend convinced me to get it. But a few months back i got tired of it because of all the bugs and other problems, soI canceled my subscription. But somehowI did something wrong because I got billed for anothersix months anyway. So Ive just been playing ever since then and now that the devs decided to give a reward for veterans i think im going to keep my subscription going. Im only afraid that, becauseI did cancel my subscription, i wont get a ship, even though ive still been playing all this time? Please help me with this because I really want to know ifI should just keep going for the next few months or not. I also have a friend who quit a while back and knows he wont get a ship but he wants to know how long his character will stay there before he gets deleted or all his items do. He wants to come back for the space expansion but isnt sure if his character will still be there. Any help would be great.

Characters don't really get deleted. For legal sack they say that they techically will hold an inactive account for somehting like 3 months. But in essence they never delete old accounts. At least no company ever has before and eairly on the devs mentioned they wouldn't here unless in very unique circumstances. As for the reward ship, its is given out after completion of 6 months continual subscription. Thats 6 months at any point as long as it encompasses the launch of Jump To Lightspeed. If you stay on now till JTL launches you get the ship. If you subscribe in three months (september) and JTL lauchesin, lets say October, then when you hit February you will get the reward ship. That is how they are telling in currently.

This depends a lot on you. If you plan on selling a lot a Merchant would be advisable. Master Artsian is good for a couple foods maybe, but not enough to need to master it though. Survey IV is nice, but you can survery without it, it just sucks a bit more. If you have room in your template add it in, if not I wouldn't change the template to add in survery IV. Scout is nice if you want to harvest your own meats. I don't think you would need more scout then maybe the harvest line and 1 box of explore for some terrain negotiation. You may want to pick up some novice medic to enhance your swordsman, or even think about the force speed/accuracy, since you won't be able to afford master brawler.

A few things to consider are:

Are you harvesting your own meats?

Where are you getting your BE additives from?

Where are you going to get your Trim (Tailor) from?

Ok, I'll try to answer it. It mostly depends on what you want and how you want to play of course.

1) Well Survey 4 is nice to have. 320m range instead of 64 at Novice Artisan. But you can do without, it just takes longer.

2) I'd say you need a bit at least, unless you only want to sell your resources on the bazaar. Few points that are interessting:

  • Buisness 3: 1 vendor, 100 Items total, wouldn't be enough for me

  • Buisness 4: 2 Vendors, 250 items total, might be enough for a small shop

  • Novice Merchant: 4 Vendors, 750 items, random NPC vendors. Thats more than it sounds, to actually keep 750 items stocked is a lot of work.

  • Advertise 3: Register on Planetary Map. VERY useful, so people actually find your vendors. But keeping your shop advertised on the boards and sometimes ingame will work too.

  • Advertise 4: Barker droids: Nice to have, but if not you'll survive it

  • Management Line: More vendors and Items if the 750 are not enough, or you want more (up to 2750 I think with Management 4)

  • Efficiency/Hiring: Nice features to have, but you can perfectly do without them. Slightly cheaper vendors/Maintenance with Eff, also a few more items. Hiring gives more races to choose from. At Hiring 4 you can dress your vendors.

  • Master Merchant:12 vendors, 4000 items. Should really be enough for everyone also vendors only cost 60% of normal fee i think (well 9 instead of 15 credits per hour, so really, thats not THAT much)

3) Master Artisan is not reallynecessary for Chef. I have it, butwould be one of the first things i would dropif i need Skillpoints. 4400 Artisan gives you 10 Artisan Exp points (11 if you're human) for the food in the Artisan line. Master Artisan allows you to build speeders etc. If you're not planning on building a lot of Artisan food youdon't need the Engineer line either.I'd sugest you get Tailor 0010 instead to make your own Trim, you need it for Casks, and you need a lot of it. Well if you go for Merchant (Biz Line), 10 Art exp points (engineer line), and Survey 4 anyway then you can also get Master Artisan. If you won't use 1 of the 4 lines, its not really worth it just for Master.

4) Since you're a combat Char, I'd suggest you get at least novice scout. Allows you to harvest your own meat (bone and hide too). Use some Vegash to increase your Harvest skill to get more. At Exploration 2 you get Mask Scent that allows you to milk creatures for milk. (You can also kill the animals that you could milk, and /harvest milk, should work with Novice Scout too)
