Thread: UK JTL Players: Order from Europe?

Nothing to stop us ordering JTL from other European countries is there?

If Activision are at fault and have slipped the date back, then screw them. I'd rather order from Amazon.de or similar and pay for shipping and have it this week.

Anyone on the continent care to point me toward a shop that has JTL in stock?

FYI: this is Sweden; both game.se and ebgames.se state the 29th. I called them both today and got no other dates. They guy at Game was uncertain though... EBGames (=Tradition in Sweden) stated they'll probably get it a couple of days in advance but are only allowed to sell it beginning with the 29th, even if the official release is the 27th. Go figure. Still, no idea if and how fast they deliver to the U.K.

[edit] Bad news, Sweden: I just called the customer service desk for spelbutiken.se -- they confirmed Nov 5th,thatmeanspostponed release.

Order it from a European shop and show Activision what you think of them

I'm English you know, stiff upper lip an' all that...

This totally sucks - preorder from my local games dealer has said 29th release date, and has said this for the last few months - now I find out today its not until 5th Nov.

There's gonna be someangry guildies cos I'm the shipwright, but I will be a week behind there needs. I guess SOE will say its my fault for playing on a US server, rather than realising I have friends in the US

Nice going SOE, never before (even with all the patches) have you managed to mess things up for so many people.

I'd guess (might be wrong) that Activision distributes for all of Europe not just the UK, so the fastest option is probably ordering from the states and paying the import/delivery charges.

One point about the servers, I started on Tarq at launch, there were no European servers then, as it is I like playing with my american cousins (even if irony is something that they think has to do with laundry). But, any bets that some enterprising souls with american copies get on the European servers with their shipwrights and offer silly prices to people as they straggle into the expansion? European shipwrights have beenpre- nerfed totally here...

Germany calling in:

Just talked to my GameShop - He expected to have it this week (and still does) but he called around his suppliers and none of them have it in stok yet.

Damn it - when I ordered from SonyStore last Year i had it in my Hands on the 27th or June one day after release.

Well nothing else to do but
go outside, enjoy the air, kick a small animal.

Just had a search on there and it looks like they are selling US Import copies? But I think delivery is mentioned as 1st November

Do Activision distribute for the whole of Europe then??

I'm still getting a release date of 29th here in Denmark, but if Sweden has been pushed to the 5th, I'm pretty sure it'll happen here as well. Because of that, I've placed an order with www.cdromshop.com since I've read a lot of positive feedback from people who have used them to import games from the US to Europe. Hope it helps.
