I'd like to know if there is anyway to turn the client used for beta into something that can be used for live server.
I ask that because I can have qucikly a key for the release of JtL ... but for the cd's it's another story

Dont think it's possible. Beta code almost certainly contains extra debug code. And the update feature in launchpad will certainly not like it...
