Is it possible to link the turret to fire forward with my main gun, or do I have to have a gunner of it to be useful?

the normal y-wing is a two seater and the turret is for the second seat only you cannot link fire these cannons on the normal y-wing. The y-wing Longprobe allows you to link the top turret with your man cannons because this is only a one seater.

If you are using a 2 seater can the pilot still fire to the front of him or are you forced to rely on your gunner?

Pretty sure the pilot controls the main gun; the gunner the turret.

I am in a rebel guild so I will have to play with this and find out from one of them who have the y-wing.

This sounds like a dumb question but.... Does a person have to have JTL to be a gunner? It wouldnt make sense to me for someone in JTL to be the gunner since they have their own ship. I also didnt know if people without JTL can be passengers on multi-player ships. I know this is a dumb question, but it will satisfy my curiousity. Thanks.

Of course I haven't tested this but all information I have seen is no you cannot do anything in space unless you buy the expansion. So you shouldn't be able to even get in a ship without it.

Normal Y-Wing: Pilot controlls the main gun. Gunner controlls the Turret.
Y-Wing Longprobe: Pilot controlls both.
Player w/o JTL: I know they can get on multiplayer ships but I don't know if they can be a gunner.

You've witnessed a non-JTL player getting on a multi-passenger ship?! I was told they couldn't get on a multi-passenger ship. That's sweet if they can. I'll have to try it out.
Btw, the other person above was correct about Y-wings. The pilot controls the nose gun and the gunner is the only person who can control the turret. I was doing this last night. The benefit of having a gunner is the extra fire power. Plus, it's very nice having a way to take out an enemy ship who is pursuing you.
One other question... If the pilot controls the turret in the long probe, does that mean the pilot can fire the turret in any direction just like the regular Y-wing?

Players without JTL cannot ride up in the Veteran reward shuttle, tells them they need JTL. Was trying to take a few guildies up so they could drool over JTL until their town got JTL in for them to buy. Dont know if this is the same as the multi crew fighters, but it seems that no JTL, no Space.

Nah the longprobe just fires forward, like an X-Wing
No someone told me they did it. I didn't actually witness it though....
Guess he coulda been full of it... but why would someone lie about it? *shrug*
