Thread: Kill Stealing and Mission Stealing

When I was doing an escort mission, some npc's came to help me and some players did too. It seems like they helped me but I remember reading somewhere that damage isn't dont to your mission targets (good and enemy) if someone else hits the targets. Can someone explain?

Unless they're grouped, they can't do damage to your targets, that's to prevent "kill stealing." It was a big, big, big, BIG, problem before.

Thats right. They will just get an annoying beep sound every time they target and fire if they are not in the group

They should have made the targets another color for people who dont have that mission..You cantarget it and it doesnt say anything that it's not attackable (except for the sound when you go after it) When more ships are near it is getting complicated..

especially if your mission is near another and you are always targeting and chasing the wrong ships

So all the NPC ships that came to help me didn't really help me? How am I supposed to group with the NPCships?
