I grouped with my buddies to try this out, but all I get is that the command doesn't exist. I can't even pull up the formation window like I could in beta. Anyone know about this?

Well, hmmmm....

Either nobody know of this issue, or my message has been pushed a couple pages back on the forums. Its really bugging me that all my friends and I get is an error. I do remember this working in beta, or I could at least look at the formations screen(Default: F Key). When I got in my y-wing for the first time and noticed that I couldn't shoot both guns at the same time I reached over to hit the G key, and pressed F instead and this window came up. Now in live I press it and nothing happens, also the /setFormations command was hotkeyed to my F6 key after install but pushing it gives the "unknown command, chat, or mood type."(not sure on the exact wording)

I am just curious if I should submit a bug report or is actually not supposed to work. I also read in another thread that this might be a guild only function. Not sure how true that is as the message was dated about a week or two ago.

I think you have to be grouped, and the group leader issues a /setformation 1command.. then the other group members /joinformation 1 .. etc

That may be true, however I was on headphones with my group leader at the time, and he said he didn't get any response except the error message in my previous post. Hopefully they will fix this, I envision a squadron of fighters all flying in formation heading to the group target waypoint. Nothing breaks the formation except maybe combat, but other than that I think it would be cool to see in game. Doing manuvers like the Blue Angels in space, now that would be cool.
