Jump To Lightspeed Archive

Well I thought I was wel underway to finishing tier 2 last night but I get to Brother Vrovel to begin the first mission, which was to escort a contact and then disable and kidnap a scientist. I get there disable the ship and dock with it, nothing happens we both just sit there then the shuttle explodes and 2 mins later another one spawns in it's place. I must be doing something wrong because it seems I'm the only one with this problem, any insight, help or assistance would be appreciated.
