I program the chip, but nothing comes up in the window to transfer to datapad like it used to before they changed its icon. Is this a known bug and does anyone know if it will be addressed?
Thanks!

Youno longerneed touse chips unless you want to givethem to pilotsinotherfactions. You program your astromech or flight computers directly now bychoosing program driodfrom their radial menu, and allprograms belonging to your factionthat you've learned as well as any programmed chips you may havein your inventory will show up in a list.

So do those chips you get from another faction disapear after use from the droid radial menu?

Be careful when loading chips. If your astromech doesn't have enough space to hold the chip you insert, you lose the chip. This is bugged, as there is no warning given that there is insufficient space.

Thanks for the heads up, got it all figured out now. I havnt used a new astromech since the old way so I was stumped, hehe! Also if you get a chip from another faction it is a one time use only then the command destroys?

The chip itself has a one-time use for putting into a droid or fc, but the command can be used endlessly until removed from the unit or the unit is destroyed.

So I deleted the extra chips I had for nothing? And I was so looking forward to trying capacitator overcharge.

Not sure exactly what you mean or why you would destroy em, but you need one chip for each command that is not native your squadron/faction per fc/astromech you want to use. I have 3 level 5 fc's for my 3 privateer ships since I didn't want to change each time I decided to fly something else. Now unless I pull out programs or destroy the fc, I am set 'for life' with commands on that character. At some point I think I will probably upgrade to lvl 6's just to hae room for rebel shield programs too, so I will have to collect 3 more complete sets of chips. For people planning on mastering more than once, keeping lower level fc/droids in dpad with programs in tact is a very good idea.
You should definitely be using cap overcharge...and eng overload and weap overload and reactor overload too most likely! If you catch me online and can find me, I'd be happy to program for free or you can get them at my South Coronet shop location (wp in sig for Lakers). I don't sell 4 level chips yet, cause they break things and do dmg and I don't want to deal with the questions/complaints, though I will likely add captoshieldstunt4 soon.

The programs I add to my flight computer that aren't on a chip (that is, the ones that are part of the Freelance Pilot class) don't show up on my CTRL-A window, so I can't add them to my toolbar. How do you use your programs?

When you add them to your fc or droid they should show up in CTRL-A in space, then you can add them. At least I believe this is how it works.

Yep, add them the same way and in the same droid programming menu that the chip adding uses. I have experienced problems with newly programmed commands not showing up in space before. I always make sure to take the fc out of my ship when programming them. I also sometimes have to load the fc in and out a time or two for the programs to actually show in the ship management window. When you click on the fc/droid in the ship management window and look in the upper right side component windows, if you don't see the programs listed, seems there's a good chance they won't be available in space.
