In case you missed it...

Brekkee: *zoom* Will the fs luck skill effect a looted items quality after the revamp?

madtoad: I think it's very important that the luck skill be closely intwined with the loot, and not just in the matter of quality, but also in the matter of how often you'll see loot drop on mobs

madtoad: So, yes, I'm definitely incorporating luck into the new loot system.

If this happens, then they'd better be attackable by BH in space with ALL of the penalties associated with death on the ground.

I can only hope you're right, Boslo. But some strange things have been happening with loot drops on higher tier mobs. In Kessel, loot drops are exceedingly rare. I'll have to try again, tonight, but with over 120 kills since 11.2 between me and a fellow guildie, we haven't gotten ONE piece of loot in Kessel.

First off, it's not Jedi luck, it's an FSS ability. One, I might add, that anyone can take (to include BH's). I don't see any reason why FSS skills should not apply to JTL. Just because you're in a ship means you suddenly loose some ability? You still have you're pistol skill, although I really don't see it being that useful while flying.

I guess the next step would be to have the crafting abilities not work for shipwrights.

As far as I know, no actual Jedi skills help you in space, only FSS, and I don't think vehicle control is currently one of them (although it should be).

To an extent. I still think that Vehicle Control should not be effective in space. I even have Vehicle Control, and I still think that.

I hope the DEVs keep FS and Jedi as far away from JTL as possible. I have Luck IV and VC IV and I am saying this. Same goes for shipwrights. They want an xp conversion and the FS bonuses. I dont want them.

Once Luck, VC, or crafting bonuses are applied to JTL professions, the jedi will jump all over it. "Hey FS VC and Luck works in space, we should get bonuses too."

They cant implement a good enough balance to make it work. The groundgame is proof of that. Any penality or system balance will be scrutinized like mad by everyone, jedi and non-jedi alike. It will widen the rift between jedi and non-jedi.

Like i said, Jedi get no bonuses for JTL. FSS is available to anyone. No one is suggesting you add ship abilities to the jedi tree, the current FSS skills were meant for everyone to have and use to enhance their characters AND/OR on their path to Jedi.Crafting experimentation should apply to ALL crafting, Vehicle abilties should apply to ALL vehicles, etc. That was the original intention of the FSS system and I for one think it works.

The only two FSS skills that could possibley affect JTL are Kismet (luck) and Vehicle Control. Thats it, no others, and absolutely nothing from the jedi trees. If you count shipwright, then The crafting Experimentation and Assembly bonus as well, but that doesnt do much other than give you a better chance at high successes (it doesnt give you extra experiment points)

Jedi is available to everyone as well. Open 6 trees and you got it. And it isnt that hard to open 6 trees. Just takes time.

Right now there are a few jedi wanting an entire pilot profession added just for them including jedi ships and so on. And the more players we get unlocking, the more people will want this. It doesnt make sense that the force affects non-jedi flying but jedi cant use the force. This is the excuse they are giving now.

How about this,

Jedi get their own ships, their force powers work in space and....bla bla bla you know the devs will relent and give in. just wait for it.

All I want is a second character without grinding for days or weeks or months to open the dang slot. Jedis have been given EVERYTHING they wanted on a silver platter and pay no more than I do for the game.

Give me my second slot and i'll sign right along with you...give the casual players some love.

And, no, I dont want to be force sensitive or a jedi so im not going there anyway. I want star Wars not SITH WARS.

I dont want anything involving Jedi or Force Sensative crap in space. Its bad enough Jedi are the PvP gods on the ground we dont need another elite caste in space. In space we are all equal, our HAM dosnt mean crap our classes dont mean crap. Keep it that way, its the only thing i find even remotly star warsy anymore with this game. If they want to do something constructive with space add some ingame voice comms for groups and group WPs. No need for johny grind alot to make his jedi fighter fly circles around jimmy casual players ship using skills other then the ones he himself has or his equipment, not some magical connection with his hyperdrive.

I think a Jedi specific 'pilot' tree is silly. But I still maintain that current FSS and Jedi skills are fine (seeing as Jedi have no access to special pilot skills).

Actually, I'm really inclined to say I wish 'Jedi' skills were pretty much done just like FSS skills. You would have a lot more variation, not to mention my gripe about the lightsaber tree, jeebus, that's just silly. I'm still trying to figure out why if I want to be the best I can at two-handed lightsaber I have to master one handed and polearm as well. It makes zero sense logically, and is just an attempt to get you to spend your skill points. I'd rather them just seperate the trees completly, at least I could justify mastering the tree if it was all two-handed and nothing else.
