Thread: Can anyone please tell me something about oppressor. I need # of guns/speed/handling.(I know mass).

Title says it, I am master privateer, but I want to go Imperial. Opressor is only ship that I really want to pilot (maybe decimator too, since YTs driving position is ... well dumb). 8(. Thanks for the answers guys.

The Oppressor handlesvery similar toyour Rihxyrk, same speed, accelaration and deaccelaration. It's basically the Rihxyrk with less mass, two projectile hardpoints, instead ofthree,andthree ordnance.

For PvP, an oppressor is a much smaller target than a rihkxyrk, less alone a krayt. For PvE, most imperial ships have only one weapon slot (until the TIE-Advanced, which has only 65K mass), so that will be a disadvantage, especially if you are used to the Dunelizard or Ixyen.

With the mass being so close to the TIE bomber loading up the correct ship parts makes this a very good ship for pve missions definitely and a lot more agile than the bomber. PVP not too sure about as havent taken part in any organised events yet to get a feel for which the best imp ship is to do this.

I love my oppressor, it is a mosnter! I run it with two level 7 guns, a 98 speed engine (1150 with EO3 and no booster!) a level 9 shield, and a nice RE'd capacitor with a 39.something recharge (not that much of deal since CO3
) I head to deepspace every night, have a 5 and 1 PvP record (come on Intrepid lets get to DS more often!) make about 2000 fp per hour and reguallrly take out 3-5 corvettes a night.

Edit: The Decimator is without a doubt the most fun I've had with my clothes on Took it to deepspace a few nights ago to help some friends level and we had a blast!

I love my Opressor so much that I took my Advanced apart. I now have an Oppressor and an Interceptor.
The Interceptor is amazing in PvP. When you are flying one of those thing, you KNOW that your opponent will kill you in one shot, so you fly like you're going to die. That's hard to beat!
