I know that a player without JTL can not visit a multipassanger ship as part of a group, but the question I have is, can someone without JTL still TRAVEL in this manner grouped?

If I go to the Starport with 2 friends and 1 doesn't have JTL, can I still choose the yacht (for example) and travel to anywhere else, or will the non-JTL person still have to reply on public transportation?

This will not work. they need jtl.

Yes you can travel without JTL using a friends Multi-Passenger Ship.

As stated, just group up and allow the pilot to select Travel rather than Launch. Although you cannot go into space because of the obvious software and access limitations, you will travel with the group.

I actually do this on the Europe-Chimaera server with people without JTL - I basically hire myself out as a taxi (got a 10k tip from one person!).
