Thread: I thought the Crimson Interceptor was the best, but...

I was using the Crimson Interceptor, which was the best TIE I ever used. But I was only getting 1200 or so speed with a 90+ Speed 62 pyr engine. That is without the booster.

But then I discovered the Heavy TIE. The base PYR of the TIE (it is the heavy version of the 1/x/x/x certified one) is the highest of any Imperial ship, but it only gets .95 speed. But you need PYR to win PVP, and speed to run. I'd rather shoot the bloody Reb down. But I get an extra 15k mass with this ship. So basically I used all of the same components as I had in my Crimson interceptor, except I threw in an engine with 62 PYR and 110 speed. So with overload 3 I hit 1500 speed anyway, which was much more than the Crimson.

And what could be better than crusing around in a normal, classic TIE. Some idiot Reb who doesnt put 2 and 2 together (Being that your in Deep space so you have to be master) and thinks he has an easy kill, when you whip around and toast him because he cant turn as well as you and if he tries to run you shoot and blast him with protons as he runs, if he even has the speed.

Anyway, ramblings from an Imperial Ace that has tested every fighter.

Actually, I used to have a "sleeper" z95 before RotW came out. I would putter around naboo station, and for some reason Imperials kept challenging me. They seemed a bit surprised when 450 wasnt my real top speed, it was 963 with the booster on, and when I whipped behind them and stuffed 4 blasts from a L5 gun into them and deaded them, I wager it was more of a shock.

Too bad the heavy noobs are ingame actually, they put guys on thier toes more.
