I just thought wouldnt it be fun if a load of Imperial player friends could get a mission to lets say, escort a load of transports or begin an assualt on a base, all together. Then some rebel players, could get another mission to attack that same convoy.


Its only a suggestion, but i thought it would bring life to JTL, pvp and group combat. imagine planning your attack, the angles and the feints... whilst the protectors constantly communicate and watch for possible players...


it would be hard to eomploy, but lets say you get these missions that may be player or unplayer orientated, which youtake as a group. Give it a large mission bonus if you complete them, and so you start this mission (probably kessel or deep space) normally, but in a group. now some group from the opposite faction get to choose whether they strike an npc convoy or the player protected one. For simply heads up, if they choose the player one, the escorts are given a clear warning that players may be expected in the assault.


Sounds fun doesnt it? Your thoughts....

i love it.


i was thinking that when you are overt and /comm a factional space station, there would be 2 new options; i want to go on the offensive, andi want todefend our convoys.


if you take defense, you could get some basic tier5 escort duty missions. if you chose offense, you get missions to intercept any convoys the other side is escorting.



so lets say that you take a mission to escort a convoy, and at first its like any old duty mission but with loads of tier5 npc fighters. you run the missions for some good creds and fp, and then an opposing player gets an intercept mission to hit your convoy. at this point, the npc fighters would stop attacking and you would get a message saying that the imperial/alliance command is sending one of their ace pilots to kill you. once this happens, if you abort the mission from your datapad or abandon the frieghter, you will take a huge fp loss; we cant have people running these missions for all the benifits without taking the risks.


at this point the attacker would have a certian ammount of time to get to the convoy and engage its escort. you wont lose anything if you get defeated, but if you win you get a nice bonus. the only way to lose anything is if you abandon a mission after another player gets assigned your convoy.


i dont think this would be all that hard to get in live, since it doesnt really require new content or art; just some new mission scripting.


also you could add some new player titles for people who consistantly win these engagments.
