Take down some enemy fighters until you have maybe 1-2 left. then dock. Then put your finger on your shunt shield. For some reason, I've found that they don't lay into youlike they should while you're docked. I mean, they'll shoot at you, but it shouldn't be that problematic if you're using shield shunt 3 or 4. And if you're not using shield shunt 3 or 4, you can forget doing the tier 3 missions solo.
I read all these posts saying how easy Inquisition is. Well, up until tier 3 I will admit, they've been very easy. I did Inquisition because I wanted to learn to be a pilot and figured this would be a good squadron to learn on. Then later on if I wanted I could go do BE or SS. Well, I think I'm doing pretty well because the majority of people I talk to says tier 3 Inquisition requires help. You can do it, but you have to be clever. The parts of the mission where waves just start spawning randomly is just nuts. They spawn, you dispatch 75% of them and a whole new group spawns. It's quite ridiculous if you ask me. However, it can be done. You have to be good and you have to think fast. You have to know your ship. When I get through Inquisition I'll probably give myself some rest, earn a chunk of cash with my Ace title, then do it all over again with BE or SS to test my skills.
But don't get too angry. Tier 3 Inquisition is quite a test. Keep at it. You'll get it. Now time for me to go tackle mission 4. It's a doozy. =)
Also, whats Inquistion? Im in Storm Squadron. Are we speaking about two different missions here?
Oh I'm sorry. I thought you were talking about Inquisition missions. Still, what your describing is something that I think all squadrons have to deal with. You get slammed with waved that NEVER end when you're thousands of kilometers away. The waves never end and you just can't inch yourself closer to the objective no matter what you do. Does this sound familiar?
Ok this is cheap, but I discovered this because I had to bug out fast one time. Hyperdrive out of there. I think it's a bug or something cuz then they just get stuck there waiting for you. You can then proceed to your goal without the never ending spawn. I know it's cheap, but it works. I know of no other way you can actually constantly fighout off 6-10 fighters and still move closer to your objective. It's quite crazy.
