I'm currently 1111 pilot and the trainer on dantooine (brother something) is only giving me duty missions. is it normal?

Yup. Perfectly normal.

When you have enough xp you will get a "storyline mission" and a levelup.

How do we know when we have enough XP?

Sodak Owii

Yes, tier 2 is a lot of duty mission grinding until you are of a level that they give you a story mission. Tier 3 is all story mission based so no grinding there, until you get to tier 4.

CTRL+S is your friend

Piloting is a skill tree like every other with the exception that it doesnt take skill points. So you can display your advancement in the Skilltree window or by using the experience monitor.

For example you'll need 60k of space combat xp to get a lvl2 skill.
