Found out who to write to :
Sent this.
Before I start my letter I feel that it's important that you know I chose the profession Smuggler and have been advancing up the tree for some time now. I say this so you can delete this mail right here if you want to, as you know this e-mail will not be a happy one.
Like many other Smugglers I was dismayed when I read the news that Caylin had to pass to us yesterday. I've tracked the recent profession revamps with enthusiasm since both of my chosen professions, Smuggler and Pistoleer are in need of one. I soon noticed that those professions who were revamped were incredibly pleased with what they were given. I also noticed that without exception every correspondent came to their respective forum and were pleased to pass on the news, since it was good news that they had to share.
Caylin's response was not as optimistic. For months we have shared our desires with him, and through him to you and I think it's fair to say that since we were told that we were one of the professions most in need of work, since then we have only received negative changes. Unlike many I understand that the combination of bleeds and feign death had to be removed. I understand that Panic Shot may have been considered overpowered. This would go under the descritpion of "Balance Changes" but with no replacement for them they could only be described as "nerfs". I see no logic in admitting our class is broken and nerfing us twice in sucession.
But with everything we have ever given to the developers, very little has been taken up so far, very little information has been conveyed to us. Now we stand again on the brink of disaster as our revamp appears not to fix the problems you have created for us.
I could be wrong. I've not seen the documents but Caylin is on the verge of quitting your game and I trust him enough to know that he does not cry wolf as some do. If he says it isnt good enough, then I can gather enough to know it's probably not going to make our profession what we want it to be. Therein lies the problem in that you continue to refuse to share information with us. It is as if you have some agenda of your own and this is your right as designers. It is pointless to ask us for input however if you do not listen. My partner often asks me for advice and then ignores it because that's what women do so if you want to know how frustrated we as Smugglers are, think to the last time your partner said "Do these shoes go with this dress" and then said "Rubbish, what would you know about shoes?" once you've given the answer.
We have six weeks till you go live with this publish and we need to know, today, what you have planned for us. And once you've given us that information you need to sit down and you need to listen to what we have to say. You have to do this quick because now we're short on time.
We know all too well that once the revamp goes live we'll not see any more additions for some time and if this does not meet our needs then you have to understand you will lose customers. Take a look at www.mmorpg.com and look at what's being released this year. Take a look at what's just been released. The days of EverQuest being the only real game on the market is long gone and there are other games we can play. Everything you do from this day forth must be done right.
Since the day Galaxies was announced I watched with fervour. A longstanding Star Wars fan I knew i had to play it. I was pre-ordered before I joined the beta test. But gradually I realised this game lacked the Star Wars feel that every other game before had and it's nearly time for me to leave. With that I take two accounts and that of my fiancee too.
Smuggler is inconic to the films and you can restore my faith in this game, or you can shatter it. The choice...is yours.

Very good - bravo.
Not that they will get past the first line, if they open the thing at all.

I'm fairly sure that the developers will skim through it when it gets to the top of their pile of things to do. By then it may be too late.
I need to get my Star Wars fix each week but it doesn't have to come from this game. I can watch the original movies ( on DVD in September ), I can play Jedi Knight 3, or Jedi Outcast. I can spend half an hour reading a Star Wars book or simply looking through the technical manual.
I can play the fantastic Star Wars BF1942 mod, and later this year I'll be able to play Star Wars Battlefront.
All these things I can do whilst playing another MMORPG and sending my money elsewhere.
They can ignore me and I will survive. But the more people like me that ignore them the less they survive.

Nicely done. But I agree, it's not like they will get past the first line.

This is it guys.. now or never... its going to be fixed RIGHT or not at all...
Its not just us either, they realised a game that needed to be "revamped" in almost every way.. WHY did they even release it!? i would of rather waited for a few more months and had working class's... this is BEYOND redicilous... if we get shafted city of heroes is going to be getting my 15 a month

Hello Devs,
I'm sure you all noticed the drop in players these recent days, I'm also sure younoticed that another mmorpg came out. But you have something no other mmorpg have yet: FPS elements, in the form ofJTL. Of course you must be aware of this already, but I think it's worth pointing out, just in case.
What you have running for you:
1) FPS/FlightSim elements in a mmorpg.
2) Star Wars name.
You really should use and abuse them. More space, space missions, space quest, space profs, instanced sector for missions etc... As for the star wars name, everyone wants more content... Anyway, this is not meant asa "I'm gonna quit" letter. It is really just to point the facts, since sometimes being to close to it blurs the picture.
On a side note, about loot, I can understand why you would not want space specific loot on the ground game, since it's not everyone that haveJTL. But the reverse is not true! If I play JTL you can be sure I have the ground game too! Why not put some ground loot in space???
Thank you for your time,
Jessian

From some unknown SOE employee,
Thanks for the reply, we are well aware of the "other" MMORG game that is now just out, cause we made it.
Its in the shape of dragons, wizards, elfs, and the like. So we are pleased with it, something we cant make an ass off.
Onto SWG, as you know over the last year or so, work was intense with JTL. unfortunatley we have noticed the
player population leave. This we cant do anything about. after all, YOU are the ones to leave not us!
but heres to the beauty of SWG, we have made JEDI impossible to achieve without giving us loads of loot. hahaha
your money. Seriously though. have a great christmas and a happy new year....

Now Carlsberg makes great adverts and beer, if it made this game, it would be the best game in the world....
DEVS & CSR, im only JOKING with yas!

You should know better than to post any thread including "letter to the devs", "petition for", "a call to action", "open letter", "DEVs plz read", "hey [insert DEV name here]" or any of that kind of crap in the title. All you're making is a letter to all players who want to complain to the DEVs just as much as you do, and a letter to all the players who want to smack you for complaining about anything.. and odds are, the DEVs won't even read it.

Yes, sadly, I know. But I have no other means of reaching the devs. And I really wanted to make sure they know they havereally great potential in their hands (if they did not know already). But by my understanding of forum hierarchy; the forum moderator reads this, decide what will reach the devs, sort it out and gives it to them. So, even if all players come in to flame, the important part is said, and might just reach the devs. But, of course, it might not be necessary. Necessity is the mother of invention. I'm sure they noticed the player drop (both in game and forums), and I am sure they are trying their best to keep us here. I only wanted to make sure they remembered what it is exactly they have that the other don't.
