If you repair a MP ship's components inside deep space, do you suffer dacay?

If so , it would make sense to use escape pod rather than repair durning battle so that no decay is incurred as ship is totally destroyed and repaired for free without decay

BUG: When destroyed attacking reb station, a third of armour is not repaired..
