look for a weapon thats close to 1k but has low mass. good sheilds and armour is needed as well.the mass on the ties is pretty crappy but it will get better when you hit the TIE/In fighter.Sometimes you'll loot a good low lvl component thats actually better than a higher lvl component. a booster in the 20's is ok for that lvl too and maybe a reactor thats somewhere near 12000. Iv seen some pretty good engines at low lvl as well. look for anything up to and higher than 55-57

When you come in with loot, compare it to what you have. If you have mass, choose the better gun or shield or whatever. If you don't have enough mass, you need to make a decision.

Often enough, if you drop armor, your shield increase will offset that mass, so choosing better shields is usually a good decisions.

You'll get better at this as you climb tiers. Just keep comparing and trying out new things.

i just threw whatever on it. i didnt put armor on it because to me its wasted mass. you will probably be done with it so fast it really doesnt matter.

check on the bazzar and find two level 2 pieces of each component. One with good stats, and one with super low mass. Take all your parts to a shipwright, and ask him/her nicely to reverse engineer them. It will take the best stats (eg high damage, low mass) from each piece and build one new one with thoses stats, plus a little bonus (1 or 2% at this level). Tell the SW that they can keep any firespray schematic segments that might come out of the RE, you can't do anything with them anyways, and give them a nice tip if they don't charge you, they are using limited use items to do the RE'ing. You should be able to get nice low mass equipment this way. Another option is just to look for a SW with an RE vendor and pick stuff off of there.

Ok, you got me. I am a total noob as far as flying is concerned :-)

And I am also having a hard time with my missions in Storm Squadron.

So I come here for some advice.

What would be the idealsetup for atier 1 Tie? And while we are at it for a tier 2 Tie?

Bigger guns? Biggershields?

Right now I am runninga tier 2 capacitor, shield and reactor. And the rest of the components are tier 1.

What would you advise?
