I just noticed that during conversation with factional (Imp or Reb) pilot trainers, there is an option to declare your faction. "I'm ready to join the ground war" or something similar. Does selecting this do anything to your character if you are already a member of that faction for the ground game?

I don'tremember how it was handled in Beta, otherwise I wouldn'tbe asking

As I remember in Beta when ya chose the "I want to join the Ground War" or whatever... they sent you to find a recruiter. So if you're already declared a faction... it's useless.
