Basically I havent been in space in a really long time because of the rubberbanding I was experiencing and hits to the opposing ships were not alwaysregistering. Im on 56k which I dont know if that contributes to it howeversome days I could shoot down shipstrouble free. Has this been addressed or is there a work around for it yet?

Last I heard, you will experience rubberbanding on heavy server load. Even on 56k, you won't get it seamless especially if there are many people in your sector. Even people on cable or dsl experience it.

DSL here and not many problems of that nature. Then again, I'm also not normally on during peak times, so I don't see the traffic some of you do.

I'm playing on 56k (stateside now, but was playing on 56k from Europe on a US server) and I've only rarely had rubberbanding problems. For some reason, though, Deep Space gives me tremendous lag issues while everywhere else I go is fine.

Basically, I don't think it's a modem issue. It could have something to do with your modem set-up and network settings, though. Do you have a firewall that's eating up a lot of bandwidth? Any other internet apps running? Spyware, viruses, ect? Check all of that out because that could be seriously contributing to any issues you might be having.
