I'm not a musician, nor would i want to be however i love those of who are and especially those of you who play at the starports (usually noobs). Starport waits are so boring, especially if you get to watch the shuttle take off and begin your 10 minute wait. It's so nice when there is a musician there to listen to. Devs, please let these guys have some sort of droid like doctors do that will make it worth there while to be in the starports and be able to buff people. It will be great for all players to be able to get a mind buff while waiting and make the 10 minute wait seem not as bad.

I like this idea, but I can understand why the devs might be reluctant to embrace it. They have consistently stuck to the view that broadening the range of performance venues inevitably dampens the importance of the cantina, and the cantina is an important part of StarWars lore. Still, if the devs ever implement something to "let us out of the cantina," this would seem like an ideal candidate.

Please, don't make any of the ships be a "CDEF"... many people on here seem to think ofthe Z-95 as the "CDEF" ship, and it's begining to tick me off. The Z-95 is a great fighter and I would hate to see it degraded to a junk starter craft. I know we can modify our craft, but if the starting craft is really as bad as a CDEF weapon, there's not likely anything that we could do to it that would make it a decent craft. This isn't a plea just for the Z-95, I for one would like to see the skies filled with all of the ships, rather than the top 2 or 3. We've already seen the Composite Clone Army, I'd rather not see the same thing in space.

I suspect the first ship, no matter what it is will be called cdef.

Im sure you will be able to upgreade the lesser ships with more powerful blasters, shields, and such. Now at base im sure the lesser ships will be slower, less protected. And even with mods probly wont stand up very well to a decked out master ship.

Again it comes down to that fact that its a twitchy game... so it has a lot to do with your skills as a pilot.

Just look at it like this; you can either join everyone in the thousands of "composites in space" of be that one standing out in your modified, souped up Z-95! I know which i'd rather be!

...Wait a second, wrong game. That was back in SWG. What am I in this new game? Oh nothing special just a generic Elder Jedi.

Here is my understanding:

The starter ships will not be upgradeable and not very powerful. However, there has been no comment that the starter ship will not also be a player craftable ship.

So there probably will be a starter

Tie

Z-95

maybe even Hutt light fighter.

These ships will suck and not be upgradeable. However, you can go buy a player made Tie, Z-95.... that will be more powerful and upgradeable.

I see what you're saying. But, in effect, your asking for all ship to be basically the same. While it would make for more diversity of ships in space, it defeats the purpose of a skill tree with ship certifications. If the Z-95 was "basically" as good as an A-Wing, what would be the point of gaining pilot xp to get the A-Wing cert.?

Unless you made every ship have the exactly the same, there will always be one ship that's better than the rest. There is no way around that. The best you can do is make certain ships better in certain situations. Not sure how the Devs plan to pull this off, but I'm looking forward to it.

I like the idea of t he origional poster and I hope that the strength/ability of higher level ships will mostly depend on the upgrades they have -vs- just 2 or 3 high end ships dominating space. It would be great if a master pilot could flyahighly upgradedY Wing which in turn could become more powerful than a standard (ie,)X-Wing or Tie Interceptor.

Still, alot of people are saying that your success in space will mostly depend on your twitch skills and that a novice pilot with a halfway decent ship will blow the crud out of a super decked out ship being flown by a master pilot who has poor twitch skills.

Not nessicarily. Sure, an stockA-wing should be faster than a stock Z-95 or TIE Fighter. However when you get down to the modifications, all I'm saying is that with the right ones a Z-95 or what have you isn't automatically still considered cannon fodder. I know all about the twitch arguement, and without sounding too cocky, I'm a pretty good pilot.

I do not want all the ships to be the same, by any means, I just don't want people to automatically see the lower level fighters as fodder that don't stand a chance no matter what the pilots skill.

Im sorry but the only thing worse than a z-95 is a y-wing, so yes i would rather have the z-95 as a crafted ship and a y-wing as a starter lol
