Thread: Joystick problems

I have CH products Fighterstick, Throttle, and Pro-Pedals.

In BETA my controls worked fine, and continued after I installed JTL this afternoon.

A couple of hours later they were completely unresponsive (except the Throttle oddly enough).

The Keymapper seems to have been changed and the axis types changed.

The keymapper will not allow me to rebind any of the functions to anything except the buttons on the Throttle.

All of the Flight controls work normally outside of this game.

Anyone having similar problems?

Perhaps they could roll back to the previous version until this is fixed, I hate trying to fly with the mouse!

I just plugged in a Logitch Wingman 3D joystick and am having some really weird things happen in space. All the spacecraft around me start bouncing around wildly all over the screen. If I take the joystick out and go back to mouse/keyboard everything is fine. Plug joystick back in an they all start hopping around again. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

has anyone else had problems with their joysticks messing up in jtl? My stick works fine in every other game, but after about 15 min in jtl I loose the ability to roll right. I'm useing the logitech extream 3d pro. I downloaded the latest drivers, made shure I had the latest version of direct x, and did everything else I could think of to fix this problem. My theory is, since logitech stores calibration information in the windows registry, and direct x accesses that information to allow your stick to interact with an aplication, I imagine that jtl is corupting this calibration info somehow. when I reinstall the drivers, everyting is fine, but after a little while it starts screwing up again. again, no probs in any other game.

YES!

Thank god i am not the only one. I have the same joystick, and after about 15 min it loses the ability to pull up. I can fix it by alt-tabing out and re-calibrating it, but i have to do it constantly.

Actually my plan was just to buy a new joystick, but i am lazy about fixing my computer.

I purchased a Logitech Freedom 2.4 Cordless joystick for JTL. All movement and buttons work fine. For some reason, when I use my joystick the lead indicator does not activate or show up. It only appears when I fly with my mouse. Does anyone know how to get the lead indicator to work with a joystick?

try pressing alt (default) so the mouse pointer is still there/or not there, but use your joystick instead.

Didn't work. All of my drivers are updated so I don't know what else to try. Any other suggestions?

Also, I purchased a Saitek joystick also to see if it would work better. I had the same problem so I'm thinking it has something to do with JTL more then the joystick. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

I recently installed a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick.
Under options, prior to entering the game, the Joystick is checked and recognized.

After entering the game, I drill down to - options/control/key map. According to chapter 6, of the JTL manual, on the far right, should be a tab labeled SHIP(to set up joystick controls) - it doesn't appear on my key map or on any other setup screen.

Suggestions please!
