Me and a Guildmate are doing this mission

its easy up to where it says you have to destroy 4 waves of rebel ships that come to attack the decoy

my friend and i must have wiped out 30-40 rebels by the time the ship reaches its destination and it says "Blast it! You didnt destroy nearly enough ships to make them interested in taking us. Report back to your superior."

wth?

what are you supose to do in this mission?

don't worry, i had this same problem.

i figured it out though... the key is to destroy each wave... BEFORE the next wave spawns. you have 2 minutes to destroy the 4 fighters. Good luck, those a-wings are a pain in the ass. I suggest one of you focus on the bomber, while the guy with the quicker ship goes for the a-wings. I was able to do this solo, but only because i was one lucky SOB. Oh, and don't be afraid to use eweapons. 2-3 shots from a ship using eweps on an a-wing will destroy it.

yes, but look at it this way: beating the storm squadron missions will make you a better pilot than everyone else. I failed this particular mission almost 6 times. Eventually, i got so good at taking out those quick a-wings, that now i can do it with ease with those tier 5 buggers in kessel. i have watched master pilots spend almost 20 minutes on 1 a-wing, chasing it around the system, i can take a tier 5 a-wing in about a minute and if i can get a head-to-head, less than that.
