I just made my 3rd attempt at this thing, couldn't find anyone to group with, and was able to finish the escort for the engineers, then the mission isnt over requiring you to recapture a transport from the rebs, after that investigate a wp for rebel activity where you need to investigate and dock with a advanced prototype a wing, and lastly (hopefully) get another transport going again, and escort it. This last part got me, it was next to a group of tier 4 z95 pirates, that aggro'd, so I didnt have much time to figure out what you are suposed to do with the transport, no messages when I got there?? and the pirates seem to respawn after you take the initial group out.
Does anyone know if the pirates are part of this mission? and what did you do? I am finding the frustrating part (still fun) is after making it to this point and getting killed I have to start over from the beginning. Is this the cse with anyone else or a "bug". The missions show as completed in the log, but having to repeat them is a little puzzling. Oh and is this the last part of the missions for Dennar so you can get trained?
Any help would be great, and I would sure love to have someone to group with on this thing.
BTW, the emergency weapons command sure helps taking out the majority of the first wave in the beginning in quick time, giving a little breathing room before the next wave. ALthough, it can be a fun thing when your reactor spikes, ouch.
And I have been flying a TIE/IN doing these missions, with pretty good components for what I have seen so far. shield regen rate of 7.5, wep dmg rng from high 900's to 1200. engine spd max at 72 with decent roll, yaw rates etc.
Thanks

the pirates are not part of the mission. what you have to do is dock with the ship and get it running. so just hit it at full throttle and press the /dock button ("U"). If you can, try to sneak past the pirates, if not, just dock and take a few hits on your shields while they repair, when they undock you can dogfight with the pirates at leisure. You will also get the waves of tier 3 rebels coming after the freighter so make sure to take your pirate dogfight away from their spawn point. No rush on the attacking rebel waves, you can let them come, just make sure they don't destroy or disable the transport.

When you get to that last part .. dock with that frieghter get it moving ... then do what you can.
DO NOT LET THEM KILL YOU.
If your going down hyperspace away (to the same system you'r in DONOT LEAVE THE SYSTEM)
The freighter can take a beating and it should be able to make it the rest of the way on it's own.

yeh, just dock, let it go on it's way and hyper to another waypoint and just lug it back to the ship. that'll clear you of the tier 4 pirates and allow you to just get the tier 3 rebels.

Question about hyperspacing....
If you hyperspace away wouldnt you like, lose the mission because it needs an escort?

Tier 3 X-Wings? o_O;;;
The X-Wings that spawned when I tried it were Tier 4... x_x
Plus the Z-95s as well...About 11 Tier 4 ships on me at one time... Odd of survival: about -1,500... If I'm lucky... I mean, I got killed within a minute, which is about the time the computer takes to make the calculations...
Any way to speed that up?
