How to do this for any of the three professions:

1. Get in a group

2. When you get the capital ship and the transports on your radar, have your group take out the capital ship, you only attack the escort (let them blow up and come back as needed, you stay away from those heavy weapons).

3. When weapons are destroyed, you swoop in to join the kill / disable the ship.

It's MUCH easier as an Imperial with Bomberstrike.

I am attempting to run the Privateer (CorSec) tier 4, mission 2 (the patrol mission where you have to distroy a YT-1300 after 10 patrol points). I have tried it with a wingman and as a solo, no luck. The five lvl 5 ships that spawn after the distruction of the YT-1300, blew us away. Is there a secret or do I just to take more people?? It's hard to get people to follow you around through 10 patrol points, so if there is a way for two of us to do it, I'd like to know.
