Target the aggressors weapon and disable it, afterwards they are easy game.

or maybe you need to learn to aim better?

Since the AI Revamp the Aggressors got easier... so pls try ´getting better instead of whining until something get´s changed that might even make things worse!

This is one of those really game breaking ordeals. I'm really suprise the dev's aren't looking into this. Guess they're too busy working on the next "expansion."

What's the excuse now?

I really hope the auto turrets get fixed.

This has ruined a lot of my JTL exp, sick of aggressors just firing at me like mad. Yes at sometimes if I get lucky I can take out the turret before I die... but that's usually by pure luck since there are invuln spots that make ties even harder to hit.

JTL just like SWG is turning into a hopeful game... where people hope things get fixed..

You guys put a lot of time and resource into JTL basically abandoning the ground aspect.

I guess it's a gripe, but am getting fed up.

I've found that the Aggressor accuracy rate has dropped to about 30-40% at 150-250 meters (my preferred engagement range). If you go into Kessel and mess with the gunboats, you'll notice that at the maximum range of the gun turrets, they will miss quite often.

IMHO, the new AI revamp is terrific. Before the last patch, I was easily able to engage groups of 14-16 fighters in Endor or Dathomir. Now, I actually have to be a bit more careful since the Oppressors will try to circle around and take missile shots at you if you don't maintain situational awareness. The new AI is a wonderful change and the Devs should be applauded for it.

I found the accuracy to be much higher on the turrets last night. I was trying my new tricked-out A-Wing (using a 95.8 engine, mass 8.9K), Engine Overload 3, and doing my best to do corkscrewing strafing runs on the aggressors - I still got hit about 75% of the time. How does a turret gunner hit a juking target traveling at over 1200+ (1400+ if I use boosters) that often? I'm better off using my Longprobe that gets hit just as often but carries much heavier shields, firepower, and armor.

I love my A-Wing, but it is next to useless against anything with a rear turret.

I have to add my voice to the turret issue. I simply does not appear that things are working as intended. Lets say I can take on every tier 4 opponent and their difficulty lies somewhere within 1-4 range. But agressors would get placed somewhere around 8 or 9 on the same scale. It simply does not seem right that a single shipis twice as hard asany other ship of the same tier. Its difficulty is simply way off the scale. I have two accounts andmy other one is an imperial pilot, and there simply is noship that I have to face as an imperial that poses the same problem.

Even before any of the patches, I never had trouble taking on a single Aggressor in Kessel. I can't say that it's significantly easier to take Aggressors on after the patch. However, it doesn't really matter since I can disable their rear turret in about 2-4 seconds once my A-Wing is on their rear quadrant.

What gun are you using? I have a similar engine in my A-Wing. But I use a Level 8 gun that does between 2500-3500 damage with 0.62+ to both armor and shields. Using weapon overload 3, I can take down a Tier 5 Aggressor in 6 shots (assuming that the invincibility bug doesn't rear its ugly head).

Unfortunately, I have to use a Level 7 crafted gun atm because I don't have a good RE'd level 8 gun (still collecting them...my best Level 8 gun is .65 shield, .62 armor, 2900-3600, but with a mass at 29K so it is too heavy to put on my A-Wing with decent shields, capacitor, etc).

It just seems to me I should be able to make a few strafing passes, juking as I go, without too much fear of being hit at the speeds I travel. This just isn't the case. I can take down an aggressor 1-on-1, but if there are 2 or more out there my shields will never survive the battle. Meanwhile, I can take up to 3 of them at a time (with some difficulty) in my Longprobe.

My A-Wing lesson - never attack anything with a turret.

Ganga,

I tried to use the strafing tactic on the Aggressors and they waxed my tail.

The only thing that works is to stay on them like a bulldog and blow away their turret, first. They're problematic if they appear in large groups because the Aggressor turret fire from the other ships you aren't engaging will still nail you with alarming efficiency if they aggro you. The level 8 gun I've got in my A-Wing is about 30K mass. I have a level 7 shield with 1200 points to each face and a recharge rate of 12.6, mass 17K. Everything else is engines, chaff dispenser and reactor. I was lucky enough to get one of those pre-patch level 1 droids with 14.5 speed and 500 mass.

Try flying around in Tatooine system and get some 700 mass 200 hitpoint/armor level 1 armor off of the Hutt/Valarian spawns. It's quite useful to take the edge off of anything that passes through your shields.

One thing that worries me is that comment above by the Imperial pilot. You guys realize that the Devs are more likely to just add the turret to enemy Y-Wings than to decrease the accuracy of turret fire, right?
