So how do I get a ship so I can get some missions and go blow stuff up in space?

The first pilot trainer you talk to that gives you a mission can also give you a noob ship but get out of that as soon as possible. SLOOOOOOW!
Get a shipwright to make you a better one.

for somke reason no matter what pilot trainer i go to they all say "you dont look like a pilot to me" and etc.i really would like to be able to fly a starship but it just doesn't seem to tell me how anywhere.
