I finally got Freelance Ace pilot, and as such I was able to use my Y8 Mining ship. I also completed the quest for the ARC-170 and the JSF. The Chassis on these are decent, but when you get killed and repair the condition goes down on them.
With the BARC they created a tool to bring them back from the dead. Has anyone heard of plans for tools made by shipwrights to repair the chassis on these so they aren't gone for good after a few fights?
Right now I"m only using them to help my friends through their first few levels and not against anything over a tier 4 since I don't want to risk losing my ship for good. Or do they intend to have us buy them from other players who don't wish to use them, but charge an insane amount of money for a replacement.

No, there are no repair kits that do that. Eventually, it'll bottom-out at 10 HP. You won't lose the ship.
Other alternative is to hit Deep Space for a free, decay-less repair.

Ok, just wanted to make sure that I will still be able to use my ships. I didn't know that it stopped at 10.
I though that would be a good thing to have for SW since they got cut out for the new ships.

Sure, SW love selling 5k repair kits instead of 50 to 500k chassis
