Thread: What gift does a beta tester get if they were accepted from SWG FanFest

hello all..i've heard that people got gifts for pre ordering JTL..i have heard rumors that people who beta test get something..was wondering if there is any truth to this, was accepted for beta the day they started testing JTL. Any input is appreciated.

Nothing. We get absolutly nothing. But thats ok. Id rather SOE keep thier ugly Naboo speeders.

The only reward for beta testing is the opportunity to play the game before everyone else and the chance to affect the direction of the game.

Its SOEs fault youre a procrastinator??? WHat makes you think youre "entitled" to anything anyway? Just being in beta gives you a HUGE jump over those who weren't.

Beta Testing. The reward is to make the game better and get rid of some bugs. It is testing, just that.

the reward was being able to steer direction of ideas and concepts.


i as well as many others mmanaged to change the flight dynamics to a star warsy one...the previous ones would have reminded some of you sci fi buffs of flying a STARFURY a la "B5".

The reward for buying the pre-order version is the Flash Speeder. Nice little ride.


The reward for Beta testing JtL is ... wow, where to start?



  • Seeing the game before anyone else.


    • and get a significant head-start when it goes Live

  • The task of testing the new ships and new skills is reward all by itself. And I do mean testing - not just monkeying around outside the Theed starport.

  • Theopportunity to give quality bug reports and opinions - and have thoseresponded to directly by the Devs.

  • Gettingthe opportunityto know the Devs as people instead of code-bots.

  • The opportunity to stand on Deck 3 of the Lady Luck and just boggle at the beauty of that ship and the view from it.

  • The opportunity to go up against a Corvette and its escorts against the backdrop of The Maw, suggest a tweak or two to the mission and have the actual mission designer five-star your post.

Ok, that oughta do it.
