I was out with a group of Imperials last night in Kessel looking for the vette for the group leader to finish his mastger mission. We were out there for 2 hours and no vette spawned. There were RebelA, B, X and Ywings flying around as well as several Rebel Gunboats (which we destroyed).
We did have 2 neutral pilots in the group, although they are Imperial on the ground they are neutral pilots. Could this have been the reason that the vette did not spawn?

Well I am a rebel but I have been on vette runs about 5 times and each time we had neutrals with us. I DO think the spawn time is random up to 2hrs. I know the times that we where in the zone when the vette spawned we waited first 1 hr then about 25 minutes then about 45 minutes. All without leaving kessel.

kewl thanks. Just wasn't sure if it would spawn with neutral pilots in the group.

Does anyone have spawn and despawn points for the Rebel vette?

The rebel corvette
Spawns approximately at: 4870 -5056 -4765
Despawns approximately at: -6216 4164 6054
Those aren't the exact waypoints but they are within 2 to 3k of the actual spawn/despawn points. So, you should still be able to target it anywhere between those two points if it is still in system.
Also, if it has been more than 2 hours without it spawning, be sure to check along that path for any rebel gunboats or small groups of fighters. Destroy those and it should restart the spawn process(although you might have to wait a bit again before it does appear).
What sometimes happens is if someone takes out the corvette, but not the escorts, it can occassionally(but not always) cause the spawn to mess up until all the escorts are finished off. Kind of like the Pirate Leader in the Hero of Tatooine quest. If you don't kill the pirates that are with him, sometimes the spawn breaks until all the regular pirates are killed.
This is also why the rebel corvette tends to be seen less than the imperial corvette. Because, with bomber strikes, it is easier for Imperials to destroy the Corvette without destroying the gunboats that are with it. Thus, imperials can glitch the spawn a lot easier

I appreciate the reply.
In the interim since I wrote this post I flew the "kill 30 enemy ships" mission in Kessel. Six of my 30 came from the Corellian Corvette escort fighters after I happen to spot it. I tracked and set waypoints till it despawned, seeming to get about half it's run (10k worth).
At 8:00pm CST, about 90 minutes after it despawned, I was back in the zone. Backtracking from the partial courseI found it again. About 15k from it's despawn point this time.
With two deaths in the process, I proved the Corvette mission can be won solo.
Thanks again,
