Thread: Freelance initial training escort mission -- is this bugged?

I'm working out of Mos Eisley with the basic trainer. I get to the waypoint and follow the freighter. It gets attacked and I kill between 8 and 12 black sun fighters and then fail the mission. I have run this mission about 10 times and get the same result every time. The spawn rate seems very high. I maxed out my xp the first dayand the second day I filled my inventory with loot, but still could not complete. I completed the rebel initial training on another server and did not see anything like what I have found running this one mission.
Has anyone seen anything like this?
Are the freelancer mission supposed to be harder than rebel? (I may switch as I'm just trying to get a ship to travel in.)
If it is me, can someone give me a couple pointers to complete it?
If it is a bug, does anyone know about the fix? Does the bug affect Imperial and rebel as well?

I too have run into the similiar issue. My other character, an imperial pilot, completed the first tier mission in a snap but the freelance character and specifically the escort mission is troublesome. I know others have completed mission but maybe latest patch changed something.
