Okay, I bought a flight joystick and throttle, last night after many of my online friends, told me that joysticks, are a must in space combat.

since I have been flying with a mouse for almost a month, and I could do better with a joystick.

I am computer smart, I build my own computers, so I would think I would be able to firgue the installation process.

my problem, is that Installed the Saitek X52, and I got a few buttons, mapped to the joystick, like fire, target closet enemy, and target enemy ship components,

however the x and y axis and the throttle is not responding in the game, when I am in space.

is there a special trick, on getting to work... if you are able to help me, please contact in game

I tried contacting Saitex, and thier tech department, said.. they would research it out, and let me know.. which means to me... that they will not contact me.

and I was not going to wait on the phone for 30 minutes...

Try fudging with the other settings. I think there is something like "enable virtual mouse/joystick" or something like that. Disable having your mouse as the reticle aimpoint and heading adjuster. I have the X36 and since these questions are popping up and my computer desk is clean, Im gonna drag them out of retirememtn tonite and see what happens. Though I personally do not think the sticks will be better than a mouse for flying.
