One thing I miss in JTL is the feeling given by "X-Wing Alliance" when you were flying near a base: ships of every kind flying around, or simply waiting for something or docked to the base... the space was full of life!
Here I can only see some dumb tansport... I guess tha, for istance, the space around Tatooine Station is full of transports, shuttle, freighters, and so on...
Asteroids field have to be populated by transports, "tug", and mining ships, not killable if you like so, but that give a nice feeling... now I can only see groups of fighters flying around waiting for someone to kill them...
Moreover, we I do some mission they say "you have to protect the escape of your fleet", or something similar, but were is that damned fleet?!?!? 
Only ship I saw was a transport (the same horrible transport) that was left behind and I have to escort him to the fleet...
I will be nice if we can see our fleet fleeing away, while we engage the bombers attempting to shoot our capital ships...

I find myself playing X-Wing Alliance more and more with each passing day (thank god it works on Windows XP). JTL does offer SWG an interesting change but when compared to X-Wing Alliance or many of the previous games that were released on the PC, JTL is quite inferior.

Where can I get X-Wing Alliance?
I been really wanting a SW game that is the whole version of the half-baked space sim JTL is.

Well my friend X-Wing Alliance will indeed fill that void for a Star Wars space sim that plays just like the movies!
X-Wing Alliance was released some years ago so it is out of production now but you can sometimes find a new copy of it on eBay.
If you can't find it new it should not be too hard tofind a good used copy on eBay.
If you buy it used be sure to get the manual because X-Wing Allianceis quite different than JTL.
Normally the going price for itis only $10.00 to$20.00 + shipping but if I had to I would still pay $40.00 for this game.

XWA is great, but if you're using a nvidia based video card you'll run into in-flight text corruption issue.
